Ruffle Cushions

Ruffle draws on the gathered forms of ribbon, translated through the studio into a layered geometric design. Shaped through the studio’s exploration of form, repetition and movement, bold shapes are arranged into a flowing surface. Subtle shifts reveal an underlying check structure, creating depth and variation across the cloth. The design moves between geometry and softness, giving it a sense of rhythm and play. Printed on Fermoie cotton, its dynamic, layered character lends itself naturally to cushions, where the pattern can be clearly appreciated.

Each cushion is designed and made in-house by hand in our Marlborough accessories workshop. Careful attention is given to proportion, placement and construction, allowing the character of the design to sit clearly within the finished cushion. Each design begins as a hand-drawn repeat, developed in the studio with colour created by eye to sit naturally within the wider collection. The result is a cushion that is tactile, balanced and enduring.
