Our Craftsmanship

In a world shaped by fast fashion and fleeting trends, we take a slower, more deliberate approach. We design, print and make everything we produce ourselves, in-house, combining time-honoured methods with thoughtful innovation.

Each design begins in the studio, where the full repeat is drawn by hand, with design and colour developed together by eye. Together, they form the foundation of every pattern we create. Each is built around a considered colour story, edited and refined to sit naturally within the wider collection, to match, to contrast, and to work together with ease. Using our ‘colour wall’ as a constant reference point, tones are blended, calibrated and adjusted until they feel entirely resolved.

This philosophy is realised in the way each design is made - our screen-printing process perfectly embodies this approach, a craft that combines customised manufacturing with meticulous attention to detail. Every fabric and wallpaper we create for customers worldwide begins with care and precision. The beauty of each design comes not from machinery, but from the human hand and eye - adjusting pigments, balancing pressure, and ensuring perfect colour harmony across every repeat. It is this measured, attentive process that brings each design to life.

This same care continues beyond the printed cloth. In our Marlborough accessories workshop, lampshades and cushions are made by hand using our own fabrics. Each is carefully cut, aligned and constructed, with close attention paid to proportion, placement and finish. Pattern repeats are considered, seams are precisely handled, and every detail is thoughtfully executed so that the character of the cloth remains at the forefront.

Nothing is right until everything’s right, we inspect every stage by hand and eye. Every length of fabric, every roll of wallpaper, and every finished lampshade and cushion passes through many expert pairs of hands before it leaves our premises.
