Villa ‘La Gratitud’, Marbella

This magnificent villa, adjacent to King Fahd’s palace on Marbella’s exclusive ‘golden mile’, has been completely transformed by Estudio LO2, the Madrid-based design firm headed by Luisa Olazábal and Luis Ojeda. Named ‘La Gratitud’, the 16-bedroom villa is set against the dramatic backdrop of the Sierra Blanca mountains and enjoys panoramic views over the Mediterranean.

The design team selected Astrea 100% linen fabric by Fermoie for the powder rooms, one in green and the other in a complementary mustard yellow. Astrea is a flowing, immersive floral of stars and foliage: here, the repetitions are carefully placed to accentuate their symmetry. The upholstered walls contrast beautifully with the dark marble and ebonized wood, softening their lines and lending a sophisticated elegance to both spaces.
