Wave Wallpaper

Wave draws on the natural rhythm of water, where movement forms repeating, flowing lines.

Explored through drawing in the studio, layered brushstrokes build across the surface, shifting between structure and fluidity. The repetition of these forms creates a sense of energy and movement, echoing the motion of water in constant flow.

A patterned wallpaper with a dynamic, painterly character.

The design is translated from fabric into wallpaper, retaining the character of the original textile. Texture, subtle variation, and layered colour are carefully preserved, so the surface carries the same depth and nuance as cloth, gently blurring the distinction between cloth and wall.

Each Fermoie design begins on paper, where the full repeat is drawn by hand, then developed for print.

Colour is developed in the studio, where a colour story is created for each design. Palettes are built by eye, to sit naturally within the wider Fermoie collection, to match, to contrast, and to work together with ease.

Printed using water-based inks, with each design created in the studio and brought to life in-house in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
