Savernake draws on the traditions of romantic landscape drawing and printmaking, where nature is observed through line, light, and texture.
Developed through the studio as a hand-drawn pattern, abstract leaf forms build across the surface. Repetition and variation create a shifting rhythm, echoing light, wind, and rain moving through the forest.
A decorative linen fabric with depth, movement, and a sense of natural vitality.
Each Fermoie design begins on paper, where the full repeat is drawn by hand, then translated to cloth. Colours are developed in the studio, where a colour story is created for each design. Palettes are built by eye, to sit naturally within the wider collection, to match, to contrast, and to work together with ease.
Our production process uses water-based pigments, blending traditional methods with modern technology adapted to the Fermoie aesthetic and quality standards, with each design created in our studio and brought to life in-house in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
The result is a fabric that is tactile, timeless and quietly infused with the artistry and character that define Fermoie.
