Salina Fabric

Salina draws on the language of pattern explored in earlier designs, where stripes, geometric forms, and decorative motifs are brought together into a layered composition.

Developed through the studio’s exploration of shape, repetition, and scale, interlocking forms create a surface with rhythm and movement. Each motif is carefully balanced within the repeat, where variation in line and proportion gives the design depth and a considered sense of structure.

Each Fermoie design begins on paper, where the full repeat is drawn by hand, then translated to cloth. Colours are developed in the studio, where a colour story is created for each design. Palettes are built by eye, to sit naturally within the wider collection, to match, to contrast, and to work together with ease.

Our production process uses water-based pigments, blending traditional methods with modern technology adapted to the Fermoie aesthetic and quality standards, with each design created in our studio and brought to life in-house in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
