Marden Fabric

Marden takes the triangle as its starting point, reworked through the studio into a softer, more expressive geometric form.

Shaped through the studio’s exploration of repetition and variation, hand-drawn triangles build into a gently irregular surface, forming a constellation of small, star-like shapes. Structure is balanced with lightness, giving the design a subtle sense of movement.

Each Fermoie design begins on paper, where the full repeat is drawn by hand, then translated to cloth. Colours are developed in the studio, where a colour story is created for each design. Palettes are built by eye, to sit naturally within the wider collection, to match, to contrast, and to work together with ease.

Our production process uses water-based pigments, blending traditional methods with modern technology adapted to the Fermoie aesthetic and quality standards, with each design created in our studio and brought to life in-house in Marlborough, Wiltshire.

The result is a fabric that is tactile, timeless and quietly infused with the artistry and character that define Fermoie.
