Carskiey Broad Stripe Wallpaper

Carskiey Broad Stripe draws on traditional stripe patterns, reinterpreted through the studio into a bolder, more expressive composition.

Formed through the studio’s exploration of scale, colour, and spacing, broad bands move across the surface with an ‘evenly uneven’ rhythm. Shifts in tone and proportion create depth, while the structure remains balanced and composed.

The design is translated from fabric into wallpaper, retaining the character of the original textile. Texture, subtle variation, and layered colour are carefully preserved, so the surface carries the same depth and nuance as cloth, gently blurring the distinction between cloth and wall.

Each Fermoie design begins on paper, where the full repeat is drawn by hand, then developed for print.

Colour is developed in the studio, where a colour story is created for each design. Palettes are built by eye, to sit naturally within the wider Fermoie collection, to match, to contrast, and to work together with ease.

Printed using water-based inks, with each design created in the studio and brought to life in-house in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
