Astrea Wallpaper

Astrea is a large-scale floral design, where bold forms are layered with finer, thread-like marks.

Explored through drawing in the studio, flowers, leaves, and butterflies move across the surface, creating a rich and dynamic composition. Subtle variation in line and colour builds depth, while a recurring star motif introduces rhythm and structure.

Each Fermoie design begins on paper, where the full repeat is drawn by hand, then translated to cloth. Colours are developed in the studio, where a colour story is created for each design. Palettes are built by eye, to sit naturally within the wider collection, to match, to contrast, and to work together with ease.

Our production process uses water-based pigments, blending traditional methods with modern technology adapted to the Fermoie aesthetic and quality standards, with each design created in our studio and brought to life in-house in Marlborough, Wiltshire.

The result is a fabric that is tactile, timeless and quietly infused with the artistry and character that define Fermoie.
