Fermoie is now a Certified B Corporation™

In October 2025, Fermoie became a B Corp™ – or Certified B Corporation™, to give it its full title. This is a wonderful milestone on a journey that began when we launched Fermoie back in 2012, and recognises our founding commitment to making colourful, joyful products with innate longevity, while minimising our impact on people and the Earth.

As artists and makers, we naturally brought our love of exploration, imagination and creativity to the B Corp™ process. It has inspired us to make all kinds of small but meaningful changes, and consider not just how we do things, but why. It has been fascinating and illuminating to view ourselves from a new perspective, seeing everything we design and make from the first hand-drawn line to the beautiful finished product through the lens of sustainability.

We were assessed across five key areas – Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers – and scored 84.8 points, comfortably above 80 required for certification. As well as aligning us with B Corp™ standards, this builds on our founding principle: that success is measured not only by our products’ beauty, joyfulness and longevity, but by our positive impact on people and the wider world.

We are delighted to be part of the worldwide B Corp™ community, standing alongside businesses who, like us, understand that the challenges of sustainability are too great for any one company or industry to address alone.
